If mountain views and scenic seas are on your list of likes, you wont be disappointed with The Slieve Donard Hotel. John & Catherine both grew up in Newcastle, County Down, so being able to get married in their own backyard was special. Not to mention they are both dab hands in golf, so having their beloved Royal County Down just next door was a nice touch. I would describe this wedding as simple elegance. A couple after my own heart; minimalists. Their wedding, for me, was an example of how less is more. Muted pastel colours painted the day. It was like the whole wedding was bathed in softness. Catherine wore a wedding dress by David Fielden the epitome of elegance, and almost like a reflection of the day itself. The Mountains of Mourne served as a backdrop for some of the portraits. Being a lover of the outdoors and all things nature, I was in my element. With the tasteful simplicity of this wedding I felt like I floated right through the day. I went home with feelings more akin to those of having been at a retreat for the day, opposed to having completed another days work. Exactly how it should be I say.
