I first met Richard & Emma at Emma’s mum Gill’s wedding which I photographed the year before at Tullyveery House. I ended up being seated at a table with guests at Gill & Gary’s wedding, Emma was on the top table and it just so happened that I was seated beside Richard, so we were well acquainted before he said “I do” himself the following year! It is always nice to reconnect with people from previous weddings and see a few familiar faces - it also encourages me to know that my business is growing organically through word of mouth. Richard & Emma chose Mount Stewart as their ceremony venue, marrying in the Central Hall of the house itself. It felt like an episode of Downton Abbey! Afterwards they had some jazz-filled champagne & canapés in the gardens and finally onto Orange Tree House for their reception. We nipped off during the drinks reception for a stroll around the gardens for some photographs & after dinner we wandered to the beach at Orange Tree House for some golden hour, sunset photographs, the light from which didn’t disappoint! If I was to sum up Richard & Emma’s wedding it would simply be; a beautiful, relaxed wedding with friends and family. A hard to beat combo!
